Owl and the City of Angels by Kristi Charish

Have just finished reading this… and damn it, the next one is not out yet.  There is a word in the book that I need to know the meaning of.

Other than that, I really like this series. This is book two of Alix’s adventure and well worth a read.

I have no idea when book three is out.. but I hope its soon.

A solid 4 stars!

Dead in the Water by Hailey Edwards

Well, the blurb is as follows

Gemini, Book 1

Camille Ellis is the Earthen Conclave’s golden girl. Her peculiar talent solves cases with a touch. She isn’t afraid of getting her hands dirty, but every bright star casts a shadow, and her deepest scars lurk just beneath the skin.

A routine consultation goes sideways when a victim’s brother gets involved in the investigation. Riding the edge of grief, the warg will go to any lengths to avenge his sister’s death. Even if it means ensuring Cam’s cooperation at the jaws of his wolf.

When the killer strikes again, Cam is caught between a warg and a hard place. To save the next victim, she must embrace her past. Even if it means dragging her darkest secrets into the light of day.

my take on it…

I liked it… read it in a day… and then went for the next one.. but damn it.. not out yet.. but not far away.. so its on my to read list.

A good 4 stars.

I do like the Wargs… a nice change to your werewolves.

Again, this one is on unlimited!

Carnal by Victoria Danann

Omg… unless you want to cry… hell even if you dont.. its worth a read.  This is not a HEA ending… I am guessing there is one later on… I mean there will have to be… Or, why the hell would Rosie go thru the shit she is?

My heart hurt for her.

Im sorry Rosie…

The emotional upheaval aside… I really liked this book.

Here is the link.. and its an unlimted one.

gagging children…. how I wish!

Here I am trying to work on how to piss off a dragon part two… and my boys are in their room laughing, roaring, shouting and other random ape like sounds… all due to the xbox.

See… ball gags would come in handy right now, but sadlly…. they are doing what they are supposed to be doing. Unfortunatly, its at the same time im trying to work.

Im going to have to invest in a good pair of headphones, or soundproof my office.

If there is anyone out there with a few thousand extra pounds laying around and want to build me an outside summer house/office, feel free. LOL

That or a lottery win!

OH well… Im off to think of horrible punishments for my kids… in my mind.

Things like,  making them go outside to play, do garden work, sew their lips shut.. hehe…

however, as soon as its a decent hour.. they are leaving teh house. I need to air out that stinky cheese pit they call a room.

R. Lee Smith

Sometimes you stumble across an author that is so far beyond your normal comfort zone, that you actually shy away from reading their book.

Sometimes, once you begin, you can not stop.

Smith, is one of these mysterious and wonderfully dangerous writers.  The books are all things taboo… from rape, to interspecies sex, and every freaking that that can go horribly wrong in the heroine/heros life can and does.

However, you will be drawn in, you will have every emotion, oft ones you did not expect to experianced pulled from the depths of your heart.

It feels as if the author is there, plucking each string of your heart one by one, tugging you deeper into their world.

There are Epics… and R. Lee Smith is a creator of these.

These works, while not for the faint of heart. sqeamish, or easily offended… are at the end of the day, a Masterpiece.

Thank you R. Lee Smith to your contributions to the written word and the world of story telling.

I have added a link to the amazon page, so that you can check out the work for yourself. Please do so, stretch your limits.

The Wolf Fount by Gayla Drummond

The first thing that caught my eye was the cover. I LOVE IT. the colors are just eye catching.

The second thing that snared me was the author. Gayla Drummond.

I mean have you read Discord Jones?

Then I read the blurb… Prositute as the heroine… yeah,  I was hooked.

The story line is solid, You want to kick the main males butt a few thousand times. I mean how dense can a man be?

Then, you just feel sorry for the whole freaking situation and you are torn into two dif. directions. Ummm Ms Drummond, I need closure please.. hurry up with the next instalment.

I really liked this book.

I would say give it a go.. it only took me a morning to read.. lol

Unleash the Storm by Annette Marie

I have just finished this book.

It is the last book in this part of the series and finishes Ash and Pipers story.

When, I say finish.. I mean… damn you lady… how could you end it like that?

It is a HEA for now at any rate…

However, other than me being disgruntled with the ending, the series is fantastic and will keep you involved through out.

I am looking foward to the next book set in this world.

4 stars… Just because I want a sappy ending.
